Leopard Safari

Leopard Safari on the rocks of Varawal Camp

Diana Vreeland once quoted, “A world without leopards; well, who would want to live in it?” After visiting Bera, you’ll probably say that too. As called by its locals, Bera is the “Land of Leopards”. The major activity here is Leopard Safari.

Leopards, known for their agility, are called the ‘Ghost of the forest’. Astoundingly quiet creatures, claimed to be the strongest of the big cats. It is a solitary animal. Adult leopards tend to associate only during the mating season. If you’re lucky enough on your safari, you might even spot the creatures mating!

There are 50-60 leopards personally spotted by Mr. Pushpendra in the area. He has a habit of naming leopards that he comes across frequently. Listen to stories that he has about all the fights and leopards’ families; and you’ll be amazed. You'll also be lucky enough if you spot the cubs of leopards. The leopard safari will take you to a different world of adventure and curiosity. Although, the safari to spotting leopards requires a lot of patience and silence. A Leopard has whole day activities or strategies going on for their hunt. You wouldn’t want to disturb those!
